Omrix Biopharmaceuticals Provides Preliminary Third Quarter 2008 Results and Increases 2008 Product Sales Guidance

NEW YORK -- Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. ("Omrix" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: OMRI), a fully-integrated biopharmaceutical company that develops and markets biosurgical and immunotherapy products, today provided preliminary unaudited product sales for the third quarter ended September 30, 2008 and increased its 2008 product sales guidance.

Preliminary Third Quarter 2008 Results

Preliminary total revenues for the third quarter 2008 amounted to $21.3 million, an increase of approximately 35% when compared to $15.8 million reported for the same period in 2007. Preliminary product sales for the third quarter 2008 amounted to $19.4 million, an increase of approximately 39% when compared to $14.0 million reported for the same period in 2007. Preliminary biosurgery and immunotherapy product sales for the third quarter 2008 amounted to $9.4 million and $10.0 million, respectively, representing an increase of approximately 38% and 39%, respectively when compared to $6.8 million and $7.2 million, respectively, for the third quarter of 2007.

The Company will announce its complete financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2008 and host its financial results conference call on November 6, 2008 after the close of the U.S. financial markets.

2008 Guidance

The Company is increasing its previously disclosed 2008 product sales guidance to $70.0 to $72.0 million from $68.0 million to $71.0 million, which represents expected annualized product sales growth of between approximately 35% and 39%, respectively, when compared with 2007 product sales of $51.9 million. In addition, the Company is reiterating that in 2008 it expects an increase in biosurgery product sales of approximately 75% when compared to 2007.

The Company's product sales guidance is based on the following key assumptions:

-- No acquisitions; and

-- Current biosurgery sales forecasts provided by Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company.
