Business Wire, Oct 20, 2008

Invited to Washington by U. S. Dept. of Defense, Participating in Int'l Event in Westchester

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Symbio Technologies (www.symbio-technologies.com), an innovator in "green" stateless computing, will present its award-winning security-centric solution at two events next week.

On October 27, Symbio has been invited to the Emerging Technologies for Defense Applications: Breaking the Barrier to Entry for Non Traditional Companies exhibition and conference at the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City, Virginia, presented by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Network Information and Integration (NII)/DoD CIO, Acquisition Technology & Logistics (AT&L). Symbio is one of the "leading emerging technology vendors" identified by the DoD CIO as "suppliers who can adapt forward-thinking, non-traditional defense applications to support critical mission needs."

Also on October 27, Symbio will participate in the 9th Annual Global Digital City Network (GDCN) Conference at the Hilton Rye Town in Rye Brook. The GDCN focuses on security best practices and solutions, and offers demonstrations to visitors from growing global markets which have strong knowledge-based sectors, including China, Korea, Japan, Australia and the U.K.

At both events, Symbio will showcase its entirely stateless and ultra-secure thin client technology, which is certified and accredited for use in the U.S. Department of Energy's classified networks. Symbiont Certified[TM] thin clients contain no non-volatile memory, no operating systems, no applications, no file systems, no network addresses and no moving parts, do not require management, use up to 95% less electricity than PCs, and work with all servers. Symbio's hardware solution also includes the Symbiont Boot Appliance[TM], which boots up to 250 desktop units at a time, directing them to the appropriate application server/servers, and the new Symbiont Boot Stick[TM], a USB pen drive that boots any USB-bootable device.
