NeoPharm Granted Extension to Regain Listing Compliance on NASDAQ
Business Wire, Oct 24, 2008
LAKE BLUFF, Ill. -- NeoPharm, Inc. (NASDAQ:NEOL), today announced that the Company has received notice from the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Panel (the "Panel") informing the Company that the Panel has extended the deadline for NeoPharm to regain compliance with NASDAQ's minimum bid price requirement to March 27, 2009 from December 22, 2008.
This extension was granted in accordance with NASDAQ's decision to temporarily suspend for all companies currently listed on any NASDAQ market, the bid price and market value requirements for continued listing on such NASDAQ markets, given the recent extraordinary market conditions. As a result, the Company's common stock will continue to be listed on The NASDAQ Capital Market, subject to the condition that, on or before March 27, 2009, the Company's common stock must evidence a closing bid price of $1.00 or more for a minimum of ten consecutive business days.
"We are very pleased with the Panel's decision, as we believe this will allow us to focus on executing our strategy to drive the drug candidates in our pipeline further through their development cycles," commented Laurence P. Birch, President and Chief Executive Officer of NeoPharm.
