HERNDON, Va. & AYLESBURY, England -- NetWitness Corporation, the leading provider of next generation network security monitoring technology, announced today that it has signed a reseller agreement with Phoenix Datacom, the leading supplier in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland of network performance and security products and services, to sell its NetWitness NextGen[TM] platform to commercial and government UK-based organizations. This strategic partnership is part of NetWitness' focus on delivering its platform to customers all around the globe in the most effective and efficient manner.
NetWitness NextGen represents a significant leap in network security monitoring and the management of advanced persistent threats to organizations. Based upon a dedicated and extensible full packet capture and session analysis infrastructure, NextGen performs both rules-based and interactive session analysis across the entire protocol stack, up to the application layer. NetWitness NextGen is designed for enterprises to address concurrent problems of insider threat management, data leakage protection, compliance verification, network e-discovery, and designer malware and zero-day detection. In the largest U.S. government agencies, the top U.S. banks and in many large public and private organizations internationally, NextGen has been proven to permit organizations to reduce the time to problem identification and resolution, and to lower the overall cost, risk and business impact of security threats.
"We are very excited to be working with an innovative technology company like NetWitness," said Tony Smith, Marketing Manager for Phoenix Datacom. "NetWitness NextGen provides our customers with the capability to deploy a full packet capture and session analysis infrastructure and use this data to forensically analyze the network for advanced external and internal threats, data theft, fraud, and malware. We believe that this forward looking technology will gain rapid adoption here in the UK as it is so comprehensive and, in particular, meets the current urgent need for rapid detection and forensic analysis of information security breaches."
Recently, NetWitness announced a record-breaking third quarter in which the company achieved significant increases in all key corporate performance measures, including a 700 percent bookings growth from the same quarter last year and greater than 350 percent revenue growth compared to the same quarter last year. NetWitness continues to deliver on its successful go-to-market strategy, demonstrating continued strength across many sectors.
"This partnership announcement underscores NetWitness' focus on continued growth and go-to-market strategy towards becoming a global security company," said Jim Charlton, Vice President of Sales for NetWitness. "We have teamed with the UK's leader in building comprehensive network and security solutions and look forward to delivering organizations in that region with our NetWitness NextGen platform. We are confident that this market will react as positively to our technology as the North American market and believe that Phoenix Datacom is the ideal partner to ensure this success."
