Pageflex Storefront Receives "Optimized for Xerox FreeFlow" Designation from Xerox
Business Wire, Oct 27, 2008
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc. (NASDAQ: BITS, www.bitstream.com) and a leading developer of enterprise variable data publishing and web-to-print solutions, announced today that Pageflex Storefront web-to-print technology has been given the designation "Optimized for Xerox FreeFlow([R])," a reflection of extensive integration efforts, including test and validation. Pageflex, a Xerox Business Partner, utilized the Xerox FreeFlow PrePress software development kit to enable this integration. This validation means that jobs submitted through Pageflex Storefront can be seamlessly integrated into the Xerox FreeFlow Process Manager MAX interface in conjunction with the FreeFlow Process Manager 6.0, providing a prepress workflow with no operator involvement, saving printers time and money.
Pageflex (booth # 5240) will be highlighting their variable data publishing technology in the Xerox Booth (#1219) during the Graph Expo 2008, being held October 26 - 29, McCormick Place South, Chicago, Illinois.
FreeFlow Process Manager automates prepress activities and increases printers overall efficiency. MAX (Manifest Automation from Xerox) builds on Process Manager's capabilities, streamlining the order-fulfillment process by connecting the order-management system, in this case Pageflex Storefront, to the prepress operations automatically. The result is a smooth, automated process from workorder submission through print submission. MAX lets printers reduce "touch points" between the order-entry process and production, and helps maximize printers' productivity and profit.
Pageflex Storefront provides printers, marketers, and corporations with an easy, flexible and scalable solution for creating an online store for personalized and customized documents and cross-media campaigns. Users can easily configure Pageflex Storefront to automate many critical steps in the Web-to-Print workflow and eliminate bottlenecks in the traditional print ordering process.
Anna Chagnon, President and CEO of Bitstream, Inc. stated "This validation is important for Pageflex and our customers. In today's challenging economic climate, workflow automation is an important way our customers can connect to their clients, reduce costs and enable greater productivity. That's why Pageflex seeks out partnerships that enable this type of seamless integration."
