Siduri and Novy Family Wines Hit the Big League: Selected by the NFL as the Exclusive Wine of the Prestigious 2nd Annual Global Sport Summit

SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Siduri and Novy Family Wines - the two ultra premium labels of Pinot Noir and Syrah specialists Adam and Dianna Novy Lee - were selected by the National Football League, Visit London and the Economist Conferences as the exclusive wine of the prestigious second annual Global Sport Summit, held this past weekend in London, England.

Organized by Economist Conferences, in association with the National Football League (NFL), and sponsored by ESPN, the second annual Global Sport Summit - "Innovation vs Tradition: The Quest For Growth" was held Friday October 24th at London's Landmark Hotel. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and The Economist Executive Editor Daniel Franklin hosted the one-day conference that featured presentations on the future of international sports by some of the industry's most influential leaders including: Lord Sebastian Coe, Chairman, London 2012 Organizing Committee; HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein of Jordan, President, Federation Equestre Internationale; Ramon Calderon, President, Real Madrid FC; Jim Nantz, CBS Sports; Dan Marino, Former Miami Dolphins and NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback and Dick Ebersol, Chairman, NBC Universal Sports and Olympics.

The second annual Global Sport Summit was part of the NFL's International Series weekend that culminated Sunday in the regular season game at Wembley Stadium between the San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints, who won 37 - 32.

The Siduri and Novy wines were poured at Thursday night's VIP gala dinner in the crypt at St. Paul's Cathedral, hosted by Summit sponsor Visit London. Mayor of London, Boris Johnson greeted the more than 150 guests including Summit attendees and speakers as well as many of the world's most distinguished athletes and sports luminaries, among them Michael Strahan, former defensive end of the New York Giants, winners of last season's Super Bowl and NFL legend Jerry Rice, the former Super Bowl-winning wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers.

On picking the tiny California producer for such a prominent role, organizer Dan Carey of NFL International said, "It was important - given the caliber of the event - that we select a world class wine portfolio with the sophistication to appeal to the global palate represented by our attendees. It didn't hurt any that in addition to being critically acclaimed winemakers, Adam and Dianna Lee are huge football fans, whose wine fermentation tanks are named for their favorite NFL players."
