PlayNetwork Ranks 60 on Puget Sound Business Journal's 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies Award for 2008
Business Wire, Oct 29, 2008
Ranking on hotly contested regional list follows strong showings on recent Inc. and Deloitte programs
REDMOND, Wash. -- PlayNetwork, a global leader in providing integrated media experiences for businesses, today announced it has ranked number 60 on the Puget Sound Business Journal's "100 Fastest Growing Private Companies Award" for 2008. The list of the area's 100 hottest companies was revealed at an invitation-only ceremony at Qwest Field/Seahawks Stadium on October 23. The news comes on the heels of strong showings by PlayNetwork on both the national "Inc. 5000" and Deloitte & Touche USA LLP's "Technology Fast 50" program for Washington State, capping a highly successful year for the company.
The annual Puget Sound Business Journal program represents a who's who among the 100 fastest growing private companies in the region, long recognized as a hotbed for technology and innovation. The rankings are based on the percentage of revenue growth over three years, from 2005-2007. PlayNetwork's 109.9 percent increase in revenues propelled it to the sixtieth rank. The strong financial performance was fueled by the acquisition of several key national accounts, substantial growth in subscriber locations, and significant top-line revenue growth -- specifically within the hospitality and retail sectors.
"This has been a momentous year for PlayNetwork in regard to customer acquisition, retention and overall company growth. To rank among the fastest growing companies in such a competitive business climate not only validates our direction, but also provides even more ammunition in our mission to be the leading integrated media services provider in the business," said Lon Troxel, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for PlayNetwork, Inc.
