CYA Technologies, Armedia Team up to Protect TriMont Real Estate Advisors' Critical ECM Assets

Business Wire, Oct 31, 2008

ATLANTA & SHELTON, Conn. -- Armedia LLC, a leading provider of content management software and services, and CYA Technologies, the leader in solutions protecting enterprise content management (ECM) investments, announced today that together they will enable TriMont Real Estate Advisors to protect and ensure the granular recovery of information within its EMC Documentum repositories.

Armedia recognized that TriMont - a long-time Armedia client - had a need for CYA SmartRecovery based on their need to reduce system downtime and protect critical information it keeps in EMC Documentum, which includes financial documents and transaction records. Should any of this information become inaccessible due to a partial loss incident, TriMont would be unable to fully recover the content and its associated metadata (i.e. audit trails; digital signatures; workflows) using its existing disaster recovery solution without risking unnecessary Documentum downtime and further potential data loss.

Partial information loss incidents account for more than 80 percent of all ECM system data loss(1), and are caused by common occurrences such as programmatic, user, operational and logical errors, malfeasance, and metadata corruption. CYA SmartRecovery is an application-aware solution providing hot, synchronous backups of ECM repository information that safeguards organizations against the ramifications of partial information loss incidents by enabling one, several, or thousands of objects to be restored back into the repository in their original state without taking applications offline.

"Today's aggressive business atmosphere demands that companies maintain continuous access to information in order to remain competitive and comply with initiatives requiring the preservation of authentic data," said Leslie Dalton, vice president of global software sales for Armedia. "CYA SmartRecovery empowers companies like TriMont to cost effectively achieve both of these imperatives."

"With complex business processes and the need for continuous information access to accommodate our global environment, TriMont needed to ensure the continuous integrity as well as fast, granular recoverability of financial documentation, deal docs, transaction docs, counter servicing documents, and other critical information," said Scott Monroe, Vice President Portfolio Servicing, of TriMont. "Having Armedia -- a trusted partner with whom we have a long-standing relationship -- help us implement CYA SmartRecovery -- a fantastic tool that perfectly meets our needs -- will enable TriMont to maximize our client's ability to achieve a comprehensive backup strategy for Documentum and one that works seamlessly with our existing disaster recovery solution. It really is the perfect fit."

TriMont, which provides a full range of services to real estate lenders and investors on both debt and equity investments, has approximately 434 employees among six offices located in Atlanta, Irvine, London, Munbai, New York and Singapore. TriMont was founded in 1989 to specialize in the resolution of problem real estate loans purchased from the Resolution Trust Corporation. TriMont has managed over $100 Billion of invested capital for clients on over 4,000 assets with $250 billion of property value. TriMont is rated by Standard and Poor's as a special servicer, construction loan servicer and by Fitch as a primary and special servicer.
