Business Wire, Oct 8, 2008
ORANGE, Calif. -- ActiveStrategy, the leading provider of Enterprise Strategy Execution software and consulting, today announced that its customer, Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), is the proud recipient of the Ventana Research 2008 Overall Business Performance Leadership Award. The Ventana Research Performance Management Leadership Awards recognize organizations that have demonstrated leadership in orchestrating people, process, information, and technology for optimum business impact.
Since its founding in 1964, CHOC has become a large, regional referral center for the most critically ill and injured children. Through the leadership of Beth Rowett, Vice President, Quality, CHOC has creatively configured and leveraged ActiveStrategy software to measure performance in key areas of operation with a framework of over 100 Balanced Scorecards that cascade directly from the organization's strategic plan.
Rowett explains, "CHOC has consistently worked to deploy systematic improvement processes to optimize our capacity to provide world-class medical care to children. Our quality initiative is deeply rooted in patient outcomes. Aligning the entire organization against measurable outcomes ensures that nothing stands in the way of our ability to provide high-quality care to children who need it."
"The Ventana Leadership Awards honor organizations of all sizes and industries that have distinguished themselves by using teamwork and leadership to improve performance," said Mark Smith, CEO and EVP Research, Ventana Research. "CHOC is to be congratulated for aligning business and information technology to accelerate growth and improve competitiveness using ActiveStrategy for business performance management."
