Madelyn Lankton of Travelers Receives Women in Insurance Leadership Award

SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- Madelyn Lankton, senior vice president, Travelers Claim Shared Services, was recently recognized with the Insurance Networking News annual Women in Insurance Leadership Award, a special designation to honor female insurance executives who have made a significant impact on their businesses.

"Madelyn not only delivers extraordinary results for Travelers, but she is also deeply committed to the development, personal growth and success of all our employees," said Doreen Spadorcia, executive vice president, Claim Services. Lankton is currently responsible for both business and IT services within the Travelers Claim organization. Specifically, she is responsible for Claim Shared Services, an organization of over 1,500 people. The Claim Shared Services organization uses advanced technology, management information and data analysis to assist the company in reviewing its claim practices and results to evaluate and improve its performance. Lankton also serves as an executive mentor for individuals in the Finance and Information Technology Leadership Development Programs at Travelers. Additionally, she initiated the development of a Women's Mentoring Forum for high potential young women in the IT department.
