NJVC Hires Paul Davis as Chief Technology Officer

VIENNA, Va. -- NJVC, one of the largest information technology solutions providers supporting the United States Department of Defense (DoD), has hired Paul Davis as chief technology officer.

Davis has more than 20 years of professional experience in management and communications within the information technology industry, most recently as distinguished engineer with CSC in the National Public Sector Federal Consulting Practice in Falls Church, Va. In this role, Davis was responsible for providing consulting support for the development of CSC's high growth market segments. He was also a thought leader in the development of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Multi-level Secure Architectures for customers.

Prior to working with CSC, Davis held a number of leadership positions with a variety of government service and technology solutions providers. As a consultant with Cherry Road Technologies based in Vienna, Va., he provided technology leadership as a member of the Army's CIO/G-6 Joint/Current Operations office and identified new technologies for insertion into DoD's Operations Planning (COOP) for Command and Control (C2) and Continuity of Business (COB) applications for multiple DoD participants.
Davis has held additional management positions within the government technology arena, including work with CGH, EDS, Freddie Mac, MITRE, Nortel Networks and Titan. He supported government clients in various agencies and branches of the military including DoD, Department of Health and Human Services (HSS), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP).
Davis actively participates in many industry associations including the American Council for Technology (ACT/IAC), Object Management Group (OMG) and the Semantic Interoperability Community of Practice (SICoP).
Davis has earned a degree in computer information systems from Strayer University in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. He is currently working towards completion of an Executive Master of Science in Information Systems (EMIS) from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
