KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Great Plains Energy Incorporated (NYSE: GXP) announced today that Terry Bassham, Executive Vice President and CFO, will be presenting at the Merrill Lynch Power & Gas Leaders Conference on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. EDT.
An audio-only webcast link and presentation materials will be made available in the Investor Relations section of the Company's website at www.greatplainsenergy.com. The presentation will consist of an overview of the Company, followed by an informal question and answer session. Participants are encouraged to log on at least five minutes prior to the start of the presentation.
