Software AG Appoints McKinsey Partner Holger Friedrich to the Management Board

RESTON, Va. -- Software AG, a global leader in business infrastructure software, has appointed Holger Friedrich to the Management Board with responsibility for global professional services. Mr. Friedrich brings fifteen years of leadership experience from within the professional services industry and will join the company as of October 1, 2008. Previously, Mr. Friedrich served with McKinsey & Company, SAP AG and SPM Technologies GmbH.

Mr. Friedrich co-founded SPM Technologies GmbH in 1994 and led the company's growth as CEO to over 250 employees. SPM Technologies specialized in IT architecture and system integration consulting services and was acquired by SAP SI in 2003. After two years as a senior vice president with SAP AG, Mr. Friedrich joined McKinsey & Company as partner responsible for the European IT Architecture Practice.
