BTS Recognized for "Excellence in Simulations" by Chief Learning Officer Magazine's Learning in Practice Awards

Business Wire, Sept 22, 2008

NEW YORK -- BTS, the world leader in customized business simulations and other discovery-based learning solutions, announces that it has been selected by Chief Learning Officer Magazine (CLO) as a finalist for the "excellence in simulations" vendor category of the "Learning in Practice" awards to be announced later this month. BTS will be awarded either the gold or silver at the CLO Symposium, Sept 24-26 at the Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, Calif.

BTS received its honor based on a unique business strategy leadership development program for managers at Tiffany & Co., the world's premier jeweler, to further its success in marrying classic product creativity and solid business innovation, while undergoing the rapid global growth which brought it to $2.9 billion in revenues in 2007. The three-tier learning initiative features two simulations for different levels of leadership and a follow up campaign to do "deep dives" into specific financial areas of the company's results after each quarter.

"Our talented employees are key to delivering the extraordinary products and superior shopping experiences that people have come to expect from Tiffany," said Tiffany's Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources Vicky Berger-Gross. "With BTS, we've developed a powerful leadership development program that speaks loudly to our leaders' abilities to impact our current and future results and that helps them to be better business leaders."

"We're proud of the great work by the BTS and Tiffany team members, who created and implemented a program that takes training into the realm of strategy execution, providing Learning & Development with a seat at the executive table, where it belongs," said BTS USA President and CEO Jonas Akerman.
