NJVC Announces Jill Bruning as Chief Operating Officer

VIENNA, Va. -- NJVC, one of the largest information technology solutions providers supporting the United States Department of Defense (DoD), has announced Jill Bruning as chief operating officer.

Bruning has more than 25 years of experience in information technology management and began working with NJVC in 2007 as the program manager for NJVC's largest IT outsourcing contract. Before joining the NJVC team, she was the operations director and account executive for an intelligence community client at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in Falls Church, Va.
Prior to working with CSC, Bruning was a vice president at Nichols Research Corporation with responsibility for DoD customers in the Southwest region. While at Nichols, she attained the highest technical position in the company as the first female senior fellow member of the technical staff. In this role, Bruning specialized in technical consulting and analytical support to federal government and medical customers in the application and development of cryogenic and sensor technology.

Bruning has received several prestigious awards throughout her career, including Engineer of the Year award from Nichols Research Corporation in 1990 and the Support Contractor of the Year award from the Office of the Secretary of Defense in 1992. She also holds two U.S. patents for energy efficient air conditioning system concepts and has authored numerous technical papers and publications.
Bruning holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Ma., and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill. She is a certified Project Management Professional and a member of several professional organizations.
