Incisive Media's Texas Lawyer Announces Publication of Extraordinary Women in Texas Law
Business Wire, Sept 29, 2008
DALLAS -- Incisive Media's Texas Lawyer, the state's leading legal news and information source, today announced the publication of Extraordinary Women in Texas Law. The new, four-color special magazine profiles 30 leading women lawyers, chosen from the state's almost 23,000 practicing female attorneys. Each was selected by the editors of Texas Lawyer from nearly 500 nominations submitted in response to a form posted on the publication's Web site. These attorneys will be honored at a luncheon on November 14 featuring speakers including 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge Edith H. Jones and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison at the Belo Mansion and Pavilion in Dallas.
"We asked readers to nominate women who have had an impact on the state's firms, government, nonprofits, academia and/or the corporate world over the past five years. The quality of the responses was overwhelming," said Colleen McGushin, editor in chief. "The 30 attorneys profiled lead in good times and in bad; achieve results or put everything on the line trying; and influence and shape the legal debate in our state."
The magazine will be distributed free to Texas Lawyer subscribers with the September 29 issue of the newspaper. For further information on the magazine, or to purchase copies, contact Dennis Weber at (214) 744-7735 or e-mail dennis.weber@incisivemedia.com. Contact Anna Burciaga at (800) 456-5484 ext. 764 for information on sponsorships or reservations for the luncheon.
