The OctoberWoman Foundation Honors OKI Data Americas CEO, Stewart Krentzman During Its Annual Breast Cancer Fundraising Gala
Business Wire, Sept 29, 2008
Foundation Will Celebrate the Passionate Partnership with OKI Data Americas Through the Color Me OKI Philanthropic Program
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. -- OKI Data Americas, a leading printer manufacturer will celebrate its second year of partnership with The OctoberWoman Foundation on Friday, October 3rd at the Pink Ribbon Ball. The gala, which will be held at the Westmount Country Club in West Paterson, New Jersey, hosts both silent and live auctions to benefit breast cancer research. Often referred to as the "social event of Bergen County," The Pink Ribbon Ball is The OctoberWoman Foundation's largest fundraising event with celebrity supporters such as theater, film and television actor, James Gandolfini and actress, film producer and recording artist, Martha Byrne, in attendance.
This year's Pink Ribbon Ball honoree is Stewart Krentzman, President and Chief Executive Officer of OKI Data Americas, Inc. "Mr. Krentzman has shown outstanding devotion to the OctoberWoman Foundation from both personal and professional levels. Through his generous support he has helped to advance breast cancer research, and for these efforts we are pleased to honor him at this year's Pink Ribbon Ball," said OctoberWoman Co-Founder, Judy Dibella.
The 1950's Automotive Classic, the 1959 Pink Cadillac Series 62 Convertible will be featured at The Pink Ribbon Ball as part of the Color Me OKI philanthropic program. The vintage vehicle will be paired with musical entertainment from the Corvelles, a female Motown trio. As a keepsake, commemorative photos will be taken with the classic pink Cadillac and printed on OKI Printing Solutions (www.okidata.com) color printers. The restored vehicle represents the rebuilding process women must go through when reviving their mind, body and souls after battling breast cancer.
During the gala, The OctoberWoman Foundation will also present the "Hope for the Future" award to Dr. Jennifer Ashton, author and Board Certified OB/GYN who appears regularly on Fox News Channel as a medical contributor.
The funds raised by The OctoberWoman Foundation are most valuable when they are used in the development of diagnostic and treatment options. These creative approaches have the greatest impact on cancer diagnosis and management but, are often left unfunded by federal sources. The foundation is proud to raise funds for ongoing research projects at both Columbia University Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center, while raising awareness within the community with events throughout the year. The foundation is focused on raising awareness, improving diagnostic and treatment options less toxic to the body and empowering all women with "HOPE FOR THE FUTURE."
"I'm honored to be recognized by The OctoberWoman Foundation," said Stewart Krentzman. "Working with the foundation on both the Pink Ribbon Walk and the Pink Ribbon Ball has inspired so many people to come together for a common cause, which is raising valuable funding for breast cancer research. I can only hope that through our partnership, we can provide a sense of celebration and hope to the strong women battling this disease every day."
The Color Me OKI philanthropic program uniquely pairs vintage cars with live entertainment to help support and celebrate the strong women, family and friends that are fighting breast cancer. The personal program stays true to the company's passion for customer intimacy, which it does by engaging with customers on a one-on-one basis to understand their needs. OKI Data Americas (www.okidata.com), one of the leading printer manufacturers in the U.S., goes beyond traditional service to develop long term partnerships with each customer and make them feel like customers again.
