Contract Covers Comprehensive Services for the $1.6 Billion Construction Project

NEW YORK -- GlobalOptions Group's (Nasdaq: GLOI) SafirRosetti Technology Design Consulting Practice has been awarded a contract for the University of California San Francisco Mission Bay Campus project. SafirRosetti, through its Oakland, California office, will provide security planning, budget design, and construction administration services as the university implements a security program for its new Mission Bay medical center. The contract was issued by the project's architectural firm Anshen Allen, which is an international firm specializing in healthcare architectural services.

When completed, the $1.6 billion construction project will result in a new children's hospital and a second hospital for women and cancer patients. The 890,000 square-foot facility will include two towers, a helipad, energy center, parking garage, underground tunnel, and pedestrian bridge. Ambulatory Care will be available at both facilities. Anshen Allen will request SafirRosetti to contribute to their and UCSF's plan to seek LEED Gold certification.

The project, which is now in design, is expected to be completed by 2014. This phase is part of a 15-year project at San Francisco's Mission Bay campus that began in 1999 and will include 20 buildings when finished.

"We are honored to be part of the UCSF / Anshen Allen team," said Sandy Zirulnik, Senior Managing Director of SafirRosetti's Oakland office. "During the past twenty-seven years we have completed more than 800 healthcare projects. We have designed and managed security, fire alarm, and low-voltage technology systems for numerous large medical centers. These projects often require eight years to plan, design, and build," said Zirulnik.

"SafirRosetti's Technology/Design/Consulting practice has truly become the gold standard for optimizing security for large and complex developments," said Howard Safir, CEO of SafirRosetti. "We look forward to being of service and value to this important institution."

SafirRosetti's Technology Design Consulting Practice provides technical and operational services in the fields of security, life safety, fire alarm, information technology, building management, and communications.
