Company Advisor Andrew Carle Presents Newest "Nana" Technologies[c] for Seniors
LOS ANGELES -- GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO), a market leader in the licensing of GPS empowered Personal Location Services (PLS) technologies, will exhibit their GPS Xplorer Shoe at AARP's Life@50 National Event & Expo in Washington, D.C. from September 4-6.
The GTX Corp GPS Xplorer Shoe will be prominently displayed in the "Nana" Technology[c] booth and information will be available and distributed to attendees who visit.
More than 30,000 AARP members and their friends from across the country and around the world will gather in Washington, D.C. to connect with others, learn something new, and have fun during Life@50 . AARP University Sessions will allow attendees to enhance their knowledge on the hottest AARP research, issues and programs related to people 50 .
The Technology Pavilion will include a "Nana" Technology[c] booth, hosted by Andrew Carle, a national expert on senior care and technology, and an Assistant Professor in the College of Health and Human Services at George Mason University. Professor Carle acts as an advisor to GTX, specifically targeting the development of applications for location aware devices to assist the home bound elderly who are memory impaired. He has coined the term "Nana" to describe helpful technologies for older adults. He will provide a daily presentation for attendees and the media discussing issues of "global aging," the critical shortage of family and professional caregivers, and the role such technologies will play in meeting the needs of aging Baby Boomers.
