Starent's ASN Gateway and Home Agent Solutions
Starent's ASN Gateway is a subscriber mobility access gateway for IEEE 802.16e Mobile WiMAX radio access networks. The ASN Gateway is designed to support connection management and mobility across cell sites and inter-service provider network boundaries through processing of subscriber control and bearer data traffic. The ASN Gateway serves as the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) authenticator for subscriber identity and acts as a RADIUS client to the operator's AAA servers. The Starent Home Agent acts as a subscriber anchor point maintaining the IP session as the subscriber moves through or across networks. The ASN Gateway and Home Agent are supported on Starent's ST16[TM] and ST40[TM] multimedia core platforms -- the preferred solutions for many of the world's most successful mobile operators. This carrier-class platform boasts exceptional reliability and performance characteristics that allow Mobile WiMAX operators to enhance the subscriber experience.
