High-Performance Antenna Meets New WiMax Industry Standard
ST. LOUIS -- Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced the release of its new 3.5 GHz Dual-Slant 65-Degree Base Station Antenna for WiMax. This new high performance antenna was designed to meet the new WiMax industry standard. It provides predictable and consistent performance, which helps create a trouble-free wireless network, resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
Laird Technologies' new WiMax antenna, the J33017S00-65N, was designed with the needs of the operator in mind. It offers a dual-slant construction providing polarization diversity by maximal-ratio combining, helping to ease the impact of multipath that often results in poor coverage areas. The optimized beam shaper and well-controlled side lobes reduce interference, and provide coverage in high-density areas for fixed and mobile access. In addition, this WiMax antenna offers uniform energy distribution to all users within the coverage area. These features, combined with Laird Technologies' reputation of quality and innovation, offer the operator a high performance and high quality product that meets industry criteria.
Unlike competitive antennas, Laird Technologies' new Dual-Slant WiMax Antenna offers antenna-to-antenna co-located isolation allowing the antennas to be placed in the most appropriate position for the application without the worry of interference and malfunction.
Laird Technologies' new WiMax antenna carries the industry best price to performance ratio.
"Laird Technologies is a leader in the industry and we are committed to providing the most up-to-date products that meet the ever-changing industry standards," said Monty Rohde, director of product development. "There is a new WiMax standard and we developed products to meet that standard because we are here to help our customers succeed."
The 3.5GHz Dual-Slant 65-Degree Sector Base Station Antenna is ideal for any carrier or broadband wireless access (BWA) supplier deploying WiMax. Target markets for the product include WiMax, Broadband Wireless Access and WISP markets.
