800 Products Now Accessible to Retailers With No Equipment or Carrying Costs
VIENNA, Va. -- Retailers looking to test the personal publishing waters before investing in on-site printers and equipment now have an ideal order fulfillment solution through a new Lucidiom Inc. and Swan Photo partnership. Lucidiom, which already offers off-site fulfillment of more than 700 photo gifts through other partners, now is offering central fulfillment of more than 100 standard and multi-page creative products through Swan Photo – everything from prints to photo books to calendars and notepads.
“We’re offering the retail world easy entry into the profitable personal publishing world by adding more than 100 multi-page EQ creative products to our EQ Gifting catalog,” said Steve Giordano, Jr., Lucidiom president. “Products like photo books and folded cards now are accessible to any retailer. For instance, a scrapbook store with an APM kiosk now can offer standard prints, as well as creative products like calendars, flip books and more without having to purchase a printer, ink or paper.”
Giordano also noted that retailers offering both photo gifts and personal publishing products realize the greatest success. “Sales data show that the appeal of one, whether a photo gift or creative product, has a ripple effect on the other, so retailers offering both gifts and creative are coming out on top. Customers don’t distinguish between a photo gift and a personal publishing product and now the retailer doesn’t have to either. It’s all available through Lucidiom.”
Through the expanded order fulfillment process, Lucidiom manages Swan Photo along with more than 20 other photo merchandise vendors, so the retailer has only a single point of contact for hundreds of products. Giordano said an added retailer benefit of the new Lucidiom-Swan partnership is that Swan Photo uses Lucidiom’s EQ-9850 printer to produce all the creative products, so retailers that later decide to invest in Lucidiom’s in-store printing solution will have a completely seamless transition.
EQ Gifting with traditional photo merchandise is currently available free of charge to any APM customer (version 6.0 or higher). The new fulfillment service for prints, enlargements and personal publishing products from Swan Photo will be available later this spring.
