Business Wire, March 03, 2009

ATLANTA -- MedAssets, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDAS) today announced that Christiana Care Health System (Christiana Care), based in Wilmington, Delaware, has signed a multi-year agreement to implement the Alliance Decision Support solution suite.

MedAssets’ Alliance Decision Support is an integrated suite of Web-based tools designed to efficiently manage budgets, costs, third-party payor contracts and revenues to improve day-to-day operations, manage operational effectiveness, evaluate payor performance across service lines and manage profitability for sustained growth. Alliance Decision Support provides access to existing clinical and patient financial systems in order to compare and track utilization patterns and key performance indicators against budget, creating identifiable opportunities for sustained margin improvement.

The single, non-redundant database platform delivers comprehensive enterprise-wide performance measurement. A key performance indicators dashboard also provides facility management with timely access to actionable, client-defined business intelligence that measures current performance against established metrics.

Christiana Care has been a MedAssets’ supply chain management customer for several years.

Christiana Care is a not-for-profit, privately owned healthcare provider serving Delaware and portions of seven counties bordering the state in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. Christiana Care includes Christiana Hospital and Wilmington Hospital and is comprised of over 1,100 beds. With more than 10,000 employees, Christiana Care is the largest private employer in Delaware and the 10th largest employer in the Philadelphia region.
