By leveraging Dossia’s existing technology platform, the HealthTrio Personal Health Record (PHR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution will collect information from all appropriate touch points and organize it in a personalized and relevant manner for each consumer. Consumers will have the ability to input additional personal health information, such as specific illnesses or conditions, family history, immunizations and over-the-counter medications. This combined information will be used to deliver the correct level of personalized services and support to optimize health outcomes.
“The integration of HealthTrio’s PHR/EHR solution with Dossia’s existing technology platform provides an excellent opportunity to take personal health information and securely put it to use for the consumer,” said Dr. Hasan, President and CEO of HealthTrio LLC. “This information and the PHR/EHR solution that we provide will empower consumers to monitor their personal health history, will facilitate better communications between consumers and their physician, and ultimately will allow consumers to take a more active role in their healthcare.
“It is more crucial than ever that consumers have the information and tools they need to most effectively manage and improve their own health,” said Rick Benoit, Director of Ecosystem Development at Dossia and Senior Program Manager at Intel. “To help support us in this mission, we welcome the addition of technology such as HealthTrio’s to the Dossia enabled ecosystem.”
Dossia’s infrastructure is open-source, and made available to personal health application developers, such as HealthTrio, who share a commitment to maintaining a consumer’s personal access to and control of health information. The infrastructure is designed to encourage vendor innovation for the benefit of patients and providers nationwide.
