Former Synplicity Sales Executive SH Lee Joins ESL Leader to Support Growing Customer Base

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Forte Design Systems, a leading provider of High Level Synthesis software, today named Suk-Ha Lee (SH Lee) as country manager for Korea, a move to a direct sales channel to support a growing list of customers.

“An expanding market, our growing business and the increased demand for SystemC-based synthesis are converging to make Korea one of our fastest growing regions,” remarks Brett Cline, Forte’s vice president of marketing and sales. “SH Lee’s broad EDA experience and solid relationships throughout Korea’s semiconductor companies makes him an ideal fit to drive the next level of adoption. We welcome him to our team.”

With more than 17 years of experience in account management, business development, customer relations and team building, Lee will be responsible for marketing and selling Cynthesizer™, a premier electronic system level (ESL) SystemC synthesis product.

“While the downturn is forcing companies to think differently and do more with less, the demand for increased productivity hasn’t changed,” says Lee. “That’s why Forte’s Cynthesizer is an attractive ESL tool to the Korean market.” As part of his plan to increase Forte’s visibility in Korea, Lee is planning a seminar series in early May on high-level synthesis.

Previously, Lee worked for Synplicity, now a business unit of Synopsys Inc., beginning in 2001 as Korean country manager. He served as an account manager for Synopsys Korea, as country manager for Compass Korea and an EDA sales manager at distributor Anam S&T Co. Ltd. Earlier in his career, he was an R&D engineer at Poscon. Lee holds a B.E. degree in Material Science from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
