HERNDON, Va. -- Trusted Computer Solutions, Inc. (TCS), a leading developer of cross domain, operating system and network security software, today announced the launch of a Webinar series focused specifically on the importance of operating system (OS) security.
The first Webinar in the series – “Automating Operating System Lock Down” – will take place on April 15, at 11:00 am EDT. This webinar will include discuss the importance of OS security, how organizations are securing their servers today, why traditional methods are not readily embraced and the role that compliancy standards play in OS security. Registration for the event can be accessed at, TCS Webinar Registration.
The 2009 Webinar series includes the following topics:
- June 3, “Planning and Implementing Operating System Security”
- September 9, “Supporting a Defense in Depth Strategy for Operating Systems”
- October 7, “Critical Infrastructure Protection – Maintaining Compliancy”
- October 29, “Does Operating System Security Frighten You?”
- November 4, “Operating System Security in the Virtual Environment”
“Organizations often focus on network, data and application security, and overlook the importance of securing the operating system,” said Sherryl Dorch, Vice President of Marketing for TCS. “When you think about it, the OS controls final access to all data and processes. Without proper configuration, even the most securely designed OS can be vulnerable to attacks. It is critical to develop procedures for locking down and maintaining the operating system, which is what this Webinar series is designed to address.”
