Systems Alliance Hires Former Sun Microsystems Sales Director Alan Morris to Grow IT and Web Consulting Business in Tennessee

Accomplished Sales Exec with Significant Higher Ed and Healthcare Experience, Morris will Manage Systems Alliance Sales Efforts in Tennessee and Surrounding States
SPARKS, Md. -- Systems Alliance, Inc., a regional systems integrator providing high-value IT and business consulting services, today announced Alan Morris, formerly a territory sales director for Sun Microsystems responsible for growing Sun’s higher education and healthcare business in Tennessee and neighboring states, has joined the company as a senior business development executive. Based in Nashville, Morris will lead Systems Alliance’s regional sales team, serving IT Infrastructure and Web Consulting clients in Tennessee and the surrounding states.

With over 25 years of experience, Morris joins Systems Alliance from Sun Microsystems, where since 1995 he held a series of sales and sales management positions, most recently as sales manager of General Territory Accounts covering Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi. In this role Morris was focused on growing Sun’s hardware, software and services business with many of the region’s leading colleges, universities and healthcare centers.
Before Sun, Morris held sales and account management positions with Motorola Computer Group, Unisys Corporation, South Central Bell, the Computer Shoppe and NCR Corporation. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, from which he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology degree.
