Web Design World Conference Announces Seattle Agenda: Designing for the Here and Now
Business Wire, April 28, 2009
CHATSWORTH, Calif. -- It's hard to find a profession that isn't feeling today's economic downturn, and Web design and development is no exception. That's why topics of immediate practical value are the focus of the Web Design World conference, which takes place July 20–22 at the Red Lion Hotel in Seattle, WA.
"These days, Web designers have to do more with less," said Jim Heid, who has served as the conference chair for over 30 Web Design World conferences since 1997. "We want to address that reality with practical sessions that teach them how to work smarter and that help them master the tools and issues that drive today's Web."
Web Design World comprises more than twenty sessions that span the spectrum from technology to business strategy to design aesthetics. Attendees will learn the best coding and development practices for CSS and JavaScript. They'll get the latest thinking in social networking, from business applications of Twitter to the business case of allowing user reviews on Web sites. And on July 22's Workshop Day, four three-hour sessions will enable attendees to deep-dive into topics ranging from Adobe Photoshop to Web typography to maximizing return on investment.
Web Design World's list of speakers is a who's who in the Web world, and includes influential designers and usability experts such as Dan Rubin, Cameron Moll, Aaron Gustafson, Jared Spool, and Lance Loveday – all popular and gifted speakers with reputations for clarity and no-fluff instruction.
Pricing for the Web Design World conference varies depending on the package that attendees choose. Discount pricing is available for past Web Design World alumni, including an unprecedented two-for-one offer that enables an attendee to bring a colleague at no extra charge.
Web Design World is presented by Thunder Lizard Productions, a division of 1105 Media, Inc. A full conference agenda, session descriptions, speaker biographies, pricing, and list of sponsor partners are available at www.webdesignworld.com.
