Kite Realty Group Trust Announces Launch of Common Share Offering

INDIANAPOLIS -- Kite Realty Group Trust (NYSE: KRG) (the “Company”) announced today that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of 25,000,000 common shares of beneficial interest. The joint book-running managers for this offering are Merrill Lynch & Co, KeyBanc Capital Markets and Wachovia Securities. The underwriters will be granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 3,750,000 common shares of beneficial interest to cover overallotments, if any.
The Company intends to use all of the net proceeds from this offering to repay borrowings under its unsecured revolving credit facility, to repay other indebtedness and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
The offering is being made pursuant to a shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, which became effective on December 10, 2008. A prospectus supplement relating to the offering will be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
