EasyLink Services Announces Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Selects EasyLink’s Managed EDI Services
Business Wire, May 13, 2009
Automates invoice processing saving significant time and money
NORCROSS, Ga. -- EasyLink Services International Corporation ("EasyLink" or "Company") (NasdaqCM: ESIC)(www.EasyLink.com), a global provider of comprehensive messaging services and e-commerce solutions, today announced it has signed The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for its Managed EDI Services for an initial three year term.
Processing over 1,000 invoices each month, the Commonwealth conducted a study to determine the costs associated with the manual processing of invoices. Their study concluded that the cost per invoice processed was $12.00. By implementing EasyLink’s EDI solutions they are realizing a savings of thousands of dollars per month, on invoice processing alone, since EasyLink’s EDI solution costs only pennies per invoice.
EDI not being a core competency for The Commonwealth, they searched for a partner who was proficient in EDI and data transformation services and who could manage EDI documents for them in proprietary formats. EasyLink demonstrated the ability to implement a secure, customized solution quickly and within budget.
“In today’s economic environment, companies of all sizes are looking for new ways to reduce costs and streamline operations,” said Kevin R. Maloney, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, EasyLink Services. “Understanding the costs associated with invoice processing and being able to quickly and easily remove or reduce those costs has an immediate impact to the bottom-line.”
