What Movers and Shakers Can’t Live Without

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Retrevo®, the online matchmaking service for people and electronics, today announced the launch of Show Us Your Gear, a web series that asks interesting people like Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble, Alice Hill, and Cat Cora to show off the gadgets that make their work and spare time fun and effective.

“Imagine MTV’s Cribs but for gadgets,” said Vipin Jain, Retrevo president and CEO. “People are attached to their electronics because it connects them to the people and events they care about.” From the show’s landing page, viewers can stream gadget profiles and reviews of interesting people and learn how to make informed decisions before purchasing must-have-gadgets. “It’s educational and entertaining,” added Jain, “and we think Retrevo is the perfect venue for such a show.”

Show Us Your Gear is the brainchild of former PC World Executive Producer, Andrew Eisner, now Retrevo’s Director of Community and Content. “We’re trying to find out what gadgets people are attached to; what they can’t live without,” said Eisner. “We’re not saying that gadgets make someone a better person, we’re just saying that functional gadgets go hand-in-hand with doing anything of significance in today’s world.”

Show Us Your Gear’s pilot episodes spotlight many celebrities and well-known people including Alltop founder, and former Apple Evangelist Guy Kawasaki, and Robert Scoble of Scobleizer.com. Slated stories include an exclusive interview from Iron Chef America’s first female Iron Chef, Cat Cora, and also Janene Mascarella, a freelance journalist who writes for many national and popular online publications including Parents, Woman’s Day, and Self, amongst other key celebrities.

Retrevo is currently accepting submissions from people of interest for the show. Email pr@retrevo.com to enquire.
