Business Wire, May 20, 2009
MURRAY HILL, N.J. -- The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) has cited Pat Murphy, president of Linde North America, for his many years of service and dedication to the safety of the industrial gases industry. CGA presented Murphy with the Chart Industries Award at its annual meeting in Florida in April.
Linde North America is a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company. The CGA is an industry organization dedicated to the development and promotion of safety standards and safe practices in the industrial gases industry.
“I am truly honored to receive this prestigious award,” said Murphy. “Safety is a critical factor in the industrial gases industry, and is Linde’s most important core value. There is no other award that I would rather receive than one for safety.”
The Chart Industries Award is presented each year to an individual who best exemplifies the character, commitment, and excellence prevalent in the volunteers from the CGA member companies. It was awarded this year to Pat Murphy because he has “consistently and tirelessly taken on the responsibility to uphold and further the mission of the CGA -- to develop and promote safety standards and safe practices for the industrial gas industry.”
