MAXIMUS Hiring 200 Staff in Shelby County to Provide Child Support Enforcement Services

RESTON, Va. & MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- MAXIMUS, a leading provider in the administration and support of government health and human services programs, announced today that it is in the process of hiring 200 local employees in preparation for the launch of its child support enforcement services operations for Tennessee’s 30th Judicial District in Shelby County.
The Company recently signed a contract with the Tennessee Department of Human Services to provide full-service child support operations. Services to be provided under the contract include location and establishment of paternity, support orders, and medical support orders. In addition, MAXIMUS will provide interstate case processing services and customer service. The Company will focus on high quality customer service and community development, reaching out to local organizations in Shelby County to provide better service to clients.
MAXIMUS has selected Ms. Frenchell White Phipps as the MAXIMUS Program Manager for the project. Ms. White Phipps brings more than twenty years of experience in child support enforcement. Prior to joining MAXIMUS, she served as the Unit Manager and Deputy Project Manager for the State of Texas child support enforcement program. Ms. White Phipps previously worked with a private vendor to manage a caseload of over 100,000 cases for the Baltimore City and Queen Anne's County, MD, Offices of Child Support Enforcement.
With the planned staff additions for this latest child support enforcement project, MAXIMUS will triple its employee headcount to 300 across the state of Tennessee. MAXIMUS operates child support and other government services offices in Chattanooga, Dresden, Nashville, Oak Ridge, and Union City, and the Company recently opened a new 29,000 square foot facility on Mendenhall Road in Memphis for its Shelby County operations. The Company is committed to hiring locally and supporting the communities in which it operates.
