Business Wire, June 03, 2009
ROSEVILLE, Calif. -- The Sacramento Business Journal recently granted PRIDE Industries CFO Tim Yamauchi as CFO of the Year in the large company category. The award was announced at an award ceremony on May 29, 2009.
The awards, presented in six categories, recognize excellence in leadership and management, as well as the key role public and private chief financial officers play in regulatory oversight, financial analysis and securing capital in today’s complex markets. The award recipients are selected annually by a local panel of executive judges.
Yamauchi joined PRIDE in 2002 and oversees the organization’s finance, accounting, legal and marketing departments. He holds an MBA from Harvard University and has more than 20 years of senior and general management experience in finance, strategy, and operations with a variety of businesses.
During his tenure, PRIDE’s revenues have grown by 75% and the company has expanded services to 12 states and Washington, D.C. President and CEO Mike Ziegler credits Yamauchi’s talent and drive for contributing to PRIDE’s success, and praises his business acumen in analyzing new lines of business. “Tim ensures that we have access to capital for expansion,” Ziegler says. “He helps guide PRIDE’s growth with his considerable expertise.”
Yamauchi credits his team for the shared success. “These are the people who do the heavy lifting,” said Yamauchi. “Thanks to their support, PRIDE is able to continue its growth and mission of job creation for people with disabilities.”
Active in the community, Yamauchi serves on the boards of SACTO (Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization) and the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce. He is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum Mountain Valley Chapter, and serves on Sacramento State's College of Business Administration Advisory Council.
