Company to Exhibit and Speak at HP User Conference; PowerHouse Power and Cooling System on Display with HP POD

AUSTIN, Texas -- Customers who manage mission critical operations are striving for improved efficiencies at a lower total cost of ownership without compromising reliability. To help address this industry issue, Active Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACPW), is showcasing their PowerHouse system, a containerized mission critical power infrastructure product alongside the HP Performance Optimized Data Center (POD) at the HP Technology Forum and Expo, June 15-18, in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. The company is conducting tours and demos of the complete continuous power and cooling system in Bayside C at the hotel.

“This event showcases the world’s leading information technology and Active Power is excited to have the opportunity to engage with IT professionals from around the world,” said Jim Clishem, president and CEO, Active Power. “These challenging economic times require organizations to make the most of every IT dollar spent. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear how the PowerHouse solution enables customers to do more with less while balancing capital and operating expenses.”

In addition to the equipment demonstration, Martin Olsen, vice president, Business Development for Active Power will also deliver a presentation on the economic and performance benefits of a containerized data center and power and cooling infrastructure approach. His presentation will dive into the effective use of a modular power and cooling infrastructure packaged efficiently in an ISO container and how it supports the HP POD. Olsen is scheduled to present on Thursday, June 18, at 10:30 a.m. (PT) in Jasmine Room E, breakout session #4124.

Last month, Active Power and HP hosted a joint Webinar, “Hyper-Efficient or Just Hype? The Real Economics Behind Data Center and Infrastructure Containerization” where they discussed how data center and infrastructure containerization can help customers do more with less and tackle the industry’s most pressing issues – rising energy costs, growing server densities, expanding data center floors, power and cooling inefficiencies, requirements to reduce costs.
