ENRG Launches First Web-Based Real-Time Noise Monitoring Service for Oil & Gas Drilling Companies

Business Wire, June 23, 2009

The ENRG noise monitoring terminals, which use wireless telemetry, are completely mobile and solar powered. The equipment records the well-site sounds in a WAV audio file, should there be a need to replay particular noise instances. The ENRG noise monitoring equipment is manufactured by Brüel and Kjær, and uses a cellular network to stream data to the Internet. The software interface that allows for real-time monitoring via the Internet was developed by ENRG and is patent-pending.

“We at Brüel and Kjær work with sound consultants around the world, and so far, ENRG is the only company that we’re aware of that has developed this type of Web interface that publishes live well-site noise data in real-time,” said Greg Bracci, outside sales engineer, Brüel and Kjær, North America, Inc.
