OpenSymmetry & Varicent Host First Arizona Compensation Professionals Roundtable Event
Business Wire, June 23, 2009
PHOENIX -- OpenSymmetry, the leading independent consulting firm dedicated to sales performance management, announced today the success of the first Arizona Compensation Professionals Roundtable event hosted by OpenSymmetry and Varicent Software.
Attended by local incentive compensation professionals from 15 companies, the “Lunch-Network-Learn” event facilitated networking and the exchange of information on how firms are dealing with sales compensation challenges presented by the current economic climate.
“The roundtable was very informative,” said participant Michael Britt with DHL. “The people who showed up had varied viewpoints and represented differing issues due to their unique business sector.”
The focus of discussion for the afternoon led by OpenSymmetry was on how companies can assess and resolve top issues being faced in the market. In specific, participants discussed how their teams are dealing with the economic downturn, from reduction in sales teams to reduction in compensation teams.
Discussion also focused on setting up compensation overseas, specifically in China, as well as on recent compensation management survey data presented by OpenSymmetry.
Based on the strong interest and turnout, OpenSymmetry and Varicent plan to make this a regular event.
