Security Innovation Network hosts:

What: "Bridging the Gaps in our Nation's Cyber Security: Connecting Leadership, Innovation, and Policy." Panel Discussion in NPC Ballroom.

On the heels of the Obama administration’s Cyberspace Policy Review calling for public–private sector collaboration to address the exponentially growing number of sophisticated cyber attacks on government, military, and commercials networks, former Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell will be joined by 14 leaders from government, academia, technology, and the venture capital community to address this urgent issue, and how the decline in U.S. innovation is imperiling national cyber and economic security.

Experts will make recommendations for government–entrepreneurial partnerships for spurring the development of new technologies to bolster national cyber defense and reinvigorate U.S. economic growth.

Who: Speakers will provide a 'front-line' report from the largest corporate targets of cyber crime, including Intuit, eBay and Heartland Payment Systems; address the perfect storm of factors behind America’s crisis in innovation; and present recommendations to bridge these gaps, uniting entrepreneurs, government, VCs, research, and academia in a collaborative approach for advancing innovation to secure our government and industry IT systems.
