Glowpoint to Provide Video Conferencing Managed Services for 2009 NBA Draft

Team headquarters connected, multiple “war room” live video feeds provided for inside look at selection process
HILLSIDE, N.J. -- Glowpoint, Inc. (OTCBB:GLOW), a leading provider of advanced video communications solutions, today announced it will be providing video conferencing managed services to enable live, interactive broadcasts of team picks on national television for the 2009 NBA basketball draft. Draft coverage begins Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m. EDT and will feature live interviews, carried via the Glowpoint video network, from 15 team locations throughout the country. The coverage will also include live video feeds from 3 team “war rooms” in order to provide an insider’s look at the selection process.

Glowpoint’s services for the draft will include high-quality IP network connectivity and live event production services. Draft broadcasters will leverage Glowpoint’s cost-effective services by conducting live interviews between program hosts in the Madison Square Garden Theater, leading sports analysts, and team officials located at 15 team headquarters nationwide. The networks will frequently show a split-screen format, demonstrating Glowpoint’s ability to provide zero-latency, quality of service (QoS) connectivity in a live-to-air use of video conferencing. Additionally, television coverage will include live feeds from the “war rooms” of the L.A. Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
In addition to the NBA and NFL drafts, Glowpoint provides services to Comcast’s Mountain West Sports Network and the NFL Network, along with other leading television networks.
