Fitch Teleconference: Credit Outlooks for Chile, ENAP and Codelco, Today, 6/24, 10 a.m. EDT
Business Wire, June 24, 2009
NEW YORK -- Fitch Ratings will host a teleconference today, June 24, at 10:00 a.m. EDT to discuss its credit outlook for Chile as well as quasi-sovereign issuers ENAP and Codelco.
Fitch affirmed Chile's long-term Issuer Default Rating at 'A' and maintained its Stable Outlook on May 29, 2009. Since Fitch's last review, global recession, lower commodity prices and reduced private capital flows have buffeted Chile's small, open economy via trade, financial and FDI channels. The Chilean authorities have acted quickly and decisively to support economic stability. Nevertheless, noteworthy deterioration of monetary or fiscal policy credibility could put downward pressure on Chile's sovereign ratings.
The call will feature remarks from Chile's lead sovereign analyst, Casey Reckman, as well as from Daniel Kastholm, Managing Director, and Ana Paula Ares, Senior Director, both from Fitch's Corporate Finance team.
There will be a Q&A session following the analysts' prepared remarks.
The call-in details are as follows:
-- Date: Wednesday, June 24
-- Time: 10:00 a.m. EDT
-- U.S./Canada: 877-233-9813
-- Latin America/international: 706-679-8437 (toll-free)
-- Conference ID: 16695882
-- Call Leader: Brian Bertsch
A replay of the teleconference will be available for 14 days following the completion of the call this morning.
