Predictive Text Analytics Customers Now Have Access to Software as a Service (SaaS) Language Translation to Uncover Trends and Sentiments in Global Textual Data
CHICAGO -- SPSS Inc. (Nasdaq:SPSS), the leading global provider of Predictive Analytics software and solutions, today announced that its Predictive Text Analytics customers now have access to translation services on demand through its partnership with Language Weaver. The software as a service (SaaS) delivery mechanism enables market researchers and organizations that gather survey feedback in many languages to receive cost-effective and precise high-speed translation capabilities.
PASW Text Analytics 13 (formerly Text Mining for Clementine) and PASW Text Analysis for Surveys 3 is now fully integrated with Language Weaver Translation on Demand so customers have robust translation of unstructured data sources – open-ended survey responses, call center notes, email and Web 2.0 media, such as blogs, RSS feeds, wikis and social networks. With the use of this service, customers can now obtain automated translation of unstructured data sources across 30 languages into common English in order to fully understand preferences, motivations and intentions on a global scale.
Part of the SPSS Predictive Analytics Software (PASW) portfolio of products, PASW Text Analytics 13 and PASW Text Analysis for Surveys 3 leverage the critical insights and sentiments locked in unstructured data to improve model accuracy and drive dramatically improved levels of customer satisfaction. By extracting opinions, preferences and sentiments from unstructured information, organizations receive a more complete view of their customers, leading to reduced customer churn, improved productivity and increased marketing campaign results.
Jason Verlen, vice president of research and development and chief product strategist at SPSS Inc., said, “We are pleased to work with Language Weaver to offer our customers this cost-effective, software as a service capability. Organizations are now using Predictive Text Analytics to not only ‘listen’ to the Voice of the Customer, but respond strategically. With this service on demand, customers can easily analyze all types of unstructured data – in numerous languages – to harness the power of the written or spoken word and better understand what customers are thinking, expecting and demanding on a global scale.”
PASW Text Analytics and PASW Text Analysis for Surveys with Language Weaver Translation on Demand enable organizations to draw greater value from the exponential growth of content creation and expression of impromptu opinions. For example, those SPSS customers that capture feedback in surveys in multiple languages from around the world can use Language Weaver on Demand to translate text, standardize all of the responses into English, and easily analyze the results to drive better business decisions.
Swamy Viswanathan, vice president of products at Language Weaver, said, “Language Weaver is pleased to be pairing our powerful automated translation technology with world class Predictive Analytics from SPSS to enable companies to quickly analyze and act on multilingual customer feedback from across the globe within a single application. Together, we enable companies to listen to the Voice of the Customer, in the language of the customer, and convert it into action through appropriate response.”
