Black Dot Group moves to Chicago from Crystal Lake, Ill.

CHICAGO -- The CAPS Group, a premier visual communications company serving advertising agencies, design firms and publishers, today announced that one of its member firms, Black Dot Group, has a new address: Chicago.

“Relocating Black Dot’s headquarters creates better workflow efficiencies for our clients,” said John Reilly, chairman, The CAPS Group. “The move enables Black Dot’s production department to more easily use our South Loop photography and retouching studios, print facilities and prototyping group. Integrating our infrastructure also will foster better communication and improve production, which will increase The CAPS Group’s profitability.”

Black Dot moved from Crystal Lake, Ill., to The CAPS Group’s headquarters in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. InContext Publishing Partners, a Black Dot division that provides educational publishing services and solutions, also relocated to The CAPS Group’s downtown office. It previously was based in Evanston, Ill. Black Dot’s NK Graphics, which provides graphic composition services primarily to book publishers, remains in West Chesterfield, N.H.

Black Dot Group provides creative development, design and editorial production, content development, page composition, photography, retouching and asset management. It serves the catalog, direct mail, retail, and educational, trade book and magazine publishing markets.
