Millicom International Cellular: EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING

STOCKHOLM & NEW YORK -- Millicom International Cellular S.A. (STO:MIC)(NASDAQ:MICC), the global telecommunications company, today held an Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM") of shareholders in Luxembourg.

Of a total of 108,046,548 shares, 61,815,258 shares were represented at the EGM, either by shareholders being present or by shareholders having completed a power of attorney form.
