Ralph Torrie Joins Navigant Consulting's Energy Practice

WASHINGTON -- Navigant Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: NCI), a specialized consulting firm providing dispute, financial, regulatory and operational advisory services to government agencies, legal counsel and large companies facing the challenges of uncertainty, risk, distress and significant change, announced today that Ralph Torrie has joined the firm as a Managing Director to lead the firm's climate change strategy and business development initiative as part of the Emerging Technologies & Energy Efficiency team within its Energy practice.

Mr. Torrie has been actively engaged in the climate change issue since 1988. During the 1990's he pioneered the methods and conventions that are now used throughout the world in local greenhouse gas quantification and analysis. He is the co-inventor of environmental planning software that has been translated into several languages and is used by more than 300 municipalities, companies and institutions on five continents. He has worked throughout the world and in 2002 received the Canadian Environment Silver Award for his work on Climate Change.
