Business Wire, Feb 24, 2009

WASHINGTON -- The SDR Forum (http://www.sdrforum.org), a non-profit international industry association dedicated to promoting the success of next-generation radio technology, today announced the addition of eight new members since September, representing educational institutions as well as corporations and one consulting firm.

"The SDR Forum has long been, and continues to be, the center of mass for standards and architectures that drive the development of Software Defined and Cognitive Radios for the communications industry," says new member ViaSat's Bob Schutz. CEO Lee Pucker says the breadth of its membership reflects the breadth of the industry. "The SDR Forum promotes every aspect of software-defined and cognitive radio, from research through design, manufacture, and deployment. Our membership reflects that diversity and involvement all along the chain."

"The SDR Forum provides Kolodzy Consulting LLC the forum in which to address the regulatory and technical issues for next-generation radios," says Paul Kolodzy, owner of new member Kolodzy Consulting LLC.
