2002 OUTLOOK
Due largely to the success of Synplicity's Synplify Pro and Amplify Physical Optimizer software, Synplicity was recognized in 2001 by Gartner Data quest as being the leader in FPGA logic synthesis with a 45 percent market share in 2000. Synplicity saw continued adoption of its FPGA synthesis and ASIC verification products and announced that both Philips Semiconductors and Agilent Technologies standardized on Synplicizy's FPGA synthesis and ASIC verification software in 2001. Early in 2002, Siemens ICN and Mindspeed Technologies standardized on Synplicity's Amplify Physical Optimizer product, the industry's only physical synthesis software for FPGAs.
