Busy Days For VLSI

VLSI Technology has its hands full with the unsolicited takeover bid by Royal Philips Electronics, but it wasn't too busy to conclude an agreement with Rambus last week. The company will license the Direct Rambus ASIC Cell (D-RAC) for inclusion in an ASIC. VLSI will also release a memory controller Functional System Block (FSB) for the Rambus technology.
