National Instruments in Hungary - The Test Floor - manufacturing facility - Brief Article
Electronic News, April 22, 2002 by Jeff Chappell
NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS CORP. recently opened a manufacturing facility in Debrecen, Hungary -- NI's first overseas manufacturing facility. NI first publicly announced plans for the 144,000-square-foot factory last August; the facility has been operational since last October. Austin-based NI chose to locate the facility in Hungary because of its close proximity to European markets, the well-educated workforce and the favorable business environment, the company said.
NI currently employs more than 100 local workers at the Hungarian manufacturing site and plans to double that number by the end of 2002.
