Avnet Enterprise Solutions Inks Reseller Deal with LeTigre Computing

THE TEMPE, ARIZ.-BASED AVNET ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS--AN IT infrastructure division of Avnet Computer Marketing, which is in turn an operating group of the Phoenix-based Avnet Inc.--announced last week that is has signed a value-added reseller agreement with LeTigre Computing of Houston, a provider of Compaq enterprise storage and server solutions. The partnership brings together Avnet's Compaq resources with LeTigre's position in the south Texas regional market.

"Partnering with LeTigre gives Avnet Enterprise Solutions a louder voice in the Houston and Austin markets, and we look to them as a go-to partner in providing sales and technical coverage in those areas," said Brian Armstrong, Avnet Enterprise Solutions' president. "We have a team dedicated to our value-added resellers and more than 20 years of history implementing Compaq solutions," Armstrong added.

LeTigre trades in the design and implementation of mainframe and client-server systems and storage units for midrange and large organizations involved in publishing, discreet manufacturing, energy, healthcare, education and government. "This new partnership gives LeTigre access to Avnet's IT resources (including) state-of-the-art integration facilities, technical prowess and a vast amount of inventory," said Tony Edwards, vice president of LeTigre Computing.
