Avant! Corp.'s foundation recently guaranteed college education for a second class of second-grade students in San Jose. Last fall, Avant! adopted its first class of second-graders and has hired a child development expert to work with the schools and the parents to enhance the educational opportunities that these second graders will receive over the next 10 years.
